In California, both men and women must be
at least 18 years old and provide proof
of age and identity to obtain a marriage
license. Parental consent does not effect
this age rule. A medical exam is not
required. There is no waiting period for
a license in California, and once issued
it is valid for 90 days. The cost of a
license varies from county to county
between $50.00 - $80.00, so you should
contact your County Clerks office for the
correct cost in your county.
