Gift Giving
The groom generally presents
some souvenir of the occasion to each of the
bridesmaids and ushers, fans, rings, bangles, and
miniatures, prayer-books and lamps, and canes,
scarf-pins, sleeve-buttons and spurs, are among
the objects bestowed to remind the receivers of
their opportune services. The bouquets of the
maids and boutonnieres of the ushers are the gift
of the bride.
